Mission Accomplished

Some big changes have happened with the Wilson Fam. For the last year we have been on a mission to find a house. We were somewhat obsessed with house hunting. We have seen too many houses in this small valley. We had actually put two offers on two houses and got rejected on both. We were getting so tired of this mission until we started tossing around the idea of building a house. We found a great builder and a beautiful lot and we were sold. So it is official we are building a house in Smithfield. We are so excited. So our mission is somewhat complete, I guess it will be official when we move in. But it feels so nice to not worry about the hunting part anymore. One other change is that my wonderful parents were willing to put us up for the next few months until our house is done. We love my parents and it has only been one week but it has been pretty good. I can not tell you how happy we were to get out of our apartment. It got to the point were it felt like the walls were starting to close in on us. What a relief to be done with that chapter of our lives. Here are some pictures of our soon to be casa~
Week One~ May 9th~ our beautiful hole

Week Two~ May 16th

~Update on Miss Kate~Kate is now 7 months old. She is getting very spoiled living with her grandparents, She has people playing with her and smiling at her and making her laugh all the time and she loves it. She has two cute little teeth and she says da da, I don't think that she knows what it means but it makes Lee feel good, so we just pretend. She is so close to crawling and loves standing and walking with help. She loves animals and is loving eating like a big girl. She just amazes us everyday. Lee is such a wonderful dad. He loves to play with his little bug. Happy belated Mothers Day, I was able to celebrate mothers day as an official mom. It was wonderful. I love being a mom, especially to a sweet baby girl. I love my own mom and my grandma and I am so glad that Kate will know her great grandparents.
My sister Maria and Kate. Kate loves to play with her favorite auntie. Thanks Ria for helping us out, you are the best!!!!
My cousin Natalie and her baby Paisley, Don't be confused, we did switch babies.
Life for the Wilson family is wonderful.
PS~ May 20th is our three year Anniversary, can you believe it. I love ya babe.

Vegas Baby

For Lees birthday last week, I surprised him with a little weekend get away to Vegas. I got a great deal on Airfare, and hotel. This was our first time away from Kate. We left Kate with my parents( thanks again) and they were so excited to have her all weekend. It was so hard to leave her we both were crying (more me than Lee) when we handed her off, but she loves her grandparents and I knew she would have so much fun with them.
We left early on Friday morning, we checked into our hotel the Tropicana, then hit the strip. First of all here are the pictures of our classic Las Vegas room, mirrors and all, kind of kinky!!

Yep that's right on the ceiling
Friday was so nice we checked out all the Casinos , came back to our hotel after a while and took a long nap (times like this we were not missing our Katie Bug). After nap time we decided to head to the stratosphere to ride the rides. My dad sold the rides on top so I had been there and rode them many times but this was Lees first time, and he sure did scream like a little girl. But it was so fun. A piece of advice for those going to vegas in their lifetimes, DON'T WALK ALL THE WAY TO THE STRATOSPHERE!!! We thought, oh it is not that far, we can walk it, well an hour and a half later we finally made it and we were exhausted. So just pay the money and ride the bus.

Ya gotta love the M&M Factory
Yes I did gamble, but it was only $1.00

At the Bilogio. My fav casino
On Saturday we slept in until 10am and then hit up the pool. This was one of the highlights of the trip, it was so wonderful to sit in the sun with my headphones in and just relax, not a care in the world. So so nice. Later that night we went to the Excalibur for the mid-evil dinner and show, it was pretty darn fun. Below is a picture of dinner, I had no idea that we would not have any utensils, It was kind of gross tearing into the chicken and eating like a heathen, but it was tasty.By Sunday we were ready to be home and were more than ready to see our baby girl. Over all we had such a great time. It was so wonderful to spend time with just the two of us, sleeping in, playing cards in our room, just walking the strip holding hands. I loved it all.
Happy Birthday Lee. I love you.
I had to add this picture. I gave Kate her first pedicure. It turned our pretty cute. Man I just love my little girl.

Easter and 6 months

I hope that everyone had a Happy Easter. The Wilson Family had a great one. My brother came up from Salt Lake and we spend all weekend together. Lee and Jon went golfing, Lee was so excited he had been waiting for the snow to melt. We ate so much food over the weekend. Sunday we had the Hansen Family egg hunt, Kate was not to fast at gathering the eggs but I helped her and I also helped her eat the candy!! I love my family, I am so greatful that I am so close with my cousins, aunts and uncles, and that we get together often. Here are some pictures: Kate in her new Easter dress with her basket and eggs
My cousin Amie, her baby Kennlyn, Kate and I. I love that Amie and I are the same age and grew up together and now we both have girls that can play together also. They both are just so adorable. They are just 6 weeks apart.
(Kate experiencing her first popcicle, LOVED IT)
Not only was Sunday Easter but it was Kates 6 month mark. It blows my mind that she is that old and she is so big. Where does the time go. She is now sitting up like a champ, rolling over, slobbering up a storm, and melting our hearts every day. She is a good eater and a great sleeper. We are so greatful for her and thank our Father in Heaven every day for her. We love our little Monkey!!

A New Toy and a New Boy!

Little miss Kate is has become a little mexican jumping bean. We were getting so tired of her jumping on our laps, so we got her a Jumperoo. This has been the best toy ever. She could sit in it for a half an hour and be content as can be. She loves to jump and then stop and take a breather, play with the toys, then start jumping again. So so cute.

(sorry it is sideways, it is still cute)

~New little Boy~

Kate has a new little cousin. My older Brother Jon and his wife Brianne had a little boy last Monday. He was 7lbs 5oz. Named Vincent Jonathan Potter. We went down on Sunday to see them. He was so cute and so little, after carrying around our five month old chuncky monkey, he felt like a little feather. Both mom and baby are doing wonderful.

Cookies and Giggles

Saturday morning Kate and I were a little bored, so we made some cookies while Lee slept. Kate was a big help, sucking on all the measuring cups and knocking anything she could reach on the floor. But we sure did have a good time.

I love this picture of my Grandpa Potter and Kate. He just adores her and she sure loves him.

Kate is becoming quite the little giggler. I just love it. I often find myself dancing like a retard in stores trying to make her laugh. I am sure people think: " that poor child, she has a Special Mom," but I don't care, there is nothing better than to hear her laugh.

4 month check-up

Kate went to her 4 month Doc. appointment on Friday. She weighs 14 lbs 10 oz which is 73rd percentile, and her length was 26 3/4 inchs which is in the 99th percentile. So she is pretty darn long. She handled the shots much better this time, and the doctor says that she is doing great. Her big accomplishment this week was that she started to eat rice cereal. As you can tell from the pictures she was not a big fan. We are still working on it and more is starting to end up in her mouth instead of on her bib.
Kate loves bath time, look at that cute little face.

Photo shoot~ 4 months

I have been a slacker and have finally gotten her blessing pictures taken. Also Kate is now four months old, Crazy Crazy, she is getting so big. But I love how she smiles and laughs now. She is so fun to play with. Any who back to the pics. I have two friends who are both starting a photography business. I asked them to take some pics of Kate. They were so great to work with, and the pictures turned out awesome, although I am her mother and I think that she is adorable all the time, these pics were so great. They also gave me a cd with all the pics and the copyrights. So check out their websites: http://www.ashhiltonphotography.com/, and http://www.peramorephotography.com/. Thanks again Ash and Meg!!!
