Happy Birthday

Little Miss Kate is now 1!!! Can you believe it? This has been the best year of our lives. She brings us so much joy, we really feel so blessed to have this little girl in our family. Here is the One year update: She is 20 pounds and 31.5 inches long, ( still in the 98% just how we like it). She is walking like crazy, she loves all food~especially treats-aka- num nums. She loves emptying all drawers/baskets, unrolling the toilet paper, being the center of attention, playing peekaboo and she loves reading. And she is obsessed with HORSES, it was the 3rd word she said. She is so stinking funny. I love playing with her all day. She is my little buddy.
Kate had a huge birthday weekend. On Sunday we had a party with 35 of our wonderful family members. Here is Kate with her cousins, playing with the Busy Ball Popper( huge hit)This was one of her favorites, She could have stayed on this horse all night. Look at the sheer joy on that face!!!We had to have a lady bug cake for our cute little Katie Bug~What a sweety, sharing her cake with us.She devoured the cake. I love the frosting in her bangsMy cute little family~On Monday we had some friends over, yep that's right Kate had her first boy/girl party. Little Cowgirl

She is so FREAKIN CUTE!!!!
I am horrible at updating this thing, But here I am over a month later.
Kate has become a little cowgirl over the summer. My next door neighbor has horses and they are right in my backyard. Kate loves to see the horses and she actually says horse. Every time we go outside she gets all excited and says horse, horse. So my woderful neighbor put the saddle on the horse and let her get on. She loved it. But first I have to tell you that my mom pulled out our old rocking horse and Kate went nuts over it. So you will see on the video of her on the real horse she is trying to bounce up and down on it. So funny. We sure love our little Rodeo Queen. Here are the pictures and videos.
Kate and her two new best friends, Greg and Quiggley
Corn, Corn, Corn. We love corn. Kate is now experiencing corn for the first time and is loving it. Those big teeth are becoming quite useful.

Now I am sure some of you are wondering about our house. Well things are really behind. Our builder told us it would be done July 24th, well as you can tell, that date and come and long gone. The house was about two weeks behind, then the bank took about a week, then we had to send it to the Government Rural Housing to get approved and they were extremely behind, so that has taken over two weeks but we did hear from our mortgage lender and he said that rural housing was looking at our loan TODAY!!!!! So it will be soon maybe even this weekend. We are so ready to move in. Hopefully my next post will be from our new house.

The Sweet Summer Time

Oh man this summer is flying by. We have been having so much fun, and have not had time to update, so here we go, hold on tight for a butt load of pictures.

Well first of all I had a great 24th birthday. I worked, went to dinner and came home to brownies and ice cream. Man Birthdays get lame when you get older. But oh well.

Kate has been crawling for the past month and a half. She is cruising along. She is also crawling up the stairs. I am loving all these stages of babyhood. It is so fun to see her learn new things and discover all that she can do. She is loving all food, when ever we sit down at the table she scampers on over to beg some food off of us.

We celebrated the 4th by just lounging around the house, Then watching the fireworks, Kate really liked the fireworks for about 5 minutes then got bored with them.

Last week we went to Lagoon with my family for Aggie Alumni Day. It was so fun. We could only take Kate on about 4 rides but she sure liked those 4 rides. I think that Lee really liked riding the little pony.

After a long day at Lagoon, What a sweety!!
This weekend was the Wilson Family Reunion at Bear Lake. We spent 2 days at the Lake and had a blast. Kate LOVED the water. The water was perfect and the weather was warm.

This is kates new face that she does all the time, we call it "Blue Steel", She is so funny

And here is the update on the house. We Should be done this week. And hopefully we will be moved in this weekend or next. This has been such a fun process, and very scary wondering if all the colors will match and hoping it all comes together okay. But we are so excited about the house and just the fact that it will be ours (in 30 years).

Well hope you are still awake after all of that. We are loving summer and can't believe that july is almost over. Man were does the time go. Hope your summer is great.

Four Weeks Into Building!

Just a month ago we broke ground and now we have something to show for it. We can't believe how fast it is going up. Our builder is amazing. If anyone is thinking about building let us hook you up with our guy. We really really like him.
You can't tell from these pics but there is electrical, some plumbing and ventilation already done. We like going by every few days to see the big changes that have happened. Only about another six weeks and it should be done. Wahoo!

Movin' Right Along

Things are moving so fast. When we told people in April that we were building and that we were goingto start in May and be done the middle/end of July people looked at us like oh yeah, we shall see. Well I almost didn't believe it myself. But things are just cruising. These pictures were taken over the last 2 weeks and just today we went back and now there is a roof and a garage, but I didn't take any pics so they will have to wait. We are surviving at my parents house and just loving this wonderful weather. Enjoy the pictures.

Mission Accomplished

Some big changes have happened with the Wilson Fam. For the last year we have been on a mission to find a house. We were somewhat obsessed with house hunting. We have seen too many houses in this small valley. We had actually put two offers on two houses and got rejected on both. We were getting so tired of this mission until we started tossing around the idea of building a house. We found a great builder and a beautiful lot and we were sold. So it is official we are building a house in Smithfield. We are so excited. So our mission is somewhat complete, I guess it will be official when we move in. But it feels so nice to not worry about the hunting part anymore. One other change is that my wonderful parents were willing to put us up for the next few months until our house is done. We love my parents and it has only been one week but it has been pretty good. I can not tell you how happy we were to get out of our apartment. It got to the point were it felt like the walls were starting to close in on us. What a relief to be done with that chapter of our lives. Here are some pictures of our soon to be casa~
Week One~ May 9th~ our beautiful hole

Week Two~ May 16th

~Update on Miss Kate~Kate is now 7 months old. She is getting very spoiled living with her grandparents, She has people playing with her and smiling at her and making her laugh all the time and she loves it. She has two cute little teeth and she says da da, I don't think that she knows what it means but it makes Lee feel good, so we just pretend. She is so close to crawling and loves standing and walking with help. She loves animals and is loving eating like a big girl. She just amazes us everyday. Lee is such a wonderful dad. He loves to play with his little bug. Happy belated Mothers Day, I was able to celebrate mothers day as an official mom. It was wonderful. I love being a mom, especially to a sweet baby girl. I love my own mom and my grandma and I am so glad that Kate will know her great grandparents.
My sister Maria and Kate. Kate loves to play with her favorite auntie. Thanks Ria for helping us out, you are the best!!!!
My cousin Natalie and her baby Paisley, Don't be confused, we did switch babies.
Life for the Wilson family is wonderful.
PS~ May 20th is our three year Anniversary, can you believe it. I love ya babe.
